Marlene Schneider named interim chair of state counseling board

Marlene Schneider

Marlene Schneider, counselor in the UNMC Faculty Employee Assistance Program, has been elected interim chairwoman of the Nebraska Alcohol and Drug Counseling Board.

Schneider has served on the board since its inception in 2004.

The board, which is part of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, is the regulatory body that drives regulation and hears complaints against licensed alcohol and drug counselors in order to make disciplinary recommendations to the state.
