As of Tuesday morning, UNMC employees had raised $111,548 during the annual campus United Way drive.
That total is about 78 percent of UNMC’s goal of $143,094.
On Tuesday, about 940 employees — or about 26 percent of UNMC’s faculty and staff — had participated in the drive, which started Oct. 5 and ends Friday, Oct. 23.
“We’re getting close to our monetary goal and yet we still have a long way to go toward our participation goal, which is always 100 percent,” said Kacie Gerard, UNMC’s United Way campaign manager. “Our monetary goal should be accomplished easily as we move closer toward 100 percent participation.”
