Sambol named to biological threat committee

Tony Sambol, assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Pathology and Microbiology, recently was appointed to a three-year term as a member of the Methods Committee on Biological Threat Agents, part of the Association of Analytical Communities (AOAC) International.

AOAC International is a worldwide provider and facilitator in the development, use and harmonization of validated analytical methods and laboratory quality assurance programs and services.

The committee was established to guide and supervise the development of performance and acceptance criteria for biological threat agent detection technologies.
