Jud Gurney, M.D.
UNMC faculty are invited to join the radiology department and the University of Nebraska Foundation for a reception for the Jud W. Gurney, M.D., Professorship Fund in Radiology on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. in the Medical Science Building Hunt Conference Room (Room 1500).

Appetizers and cocktails will be served.

Dr. Gurney is the the Charles A. Dobry Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and a 1980 College of Medicine graduate. His expertise is in chest radiology.

He joined UNMC’s radiology faculty in 1989 as an assistant professor and was elevated to associate professor in 1991. He served on the faculty of the Mayo Clinic from 2000 to 2002 before he returned to UNMC in 2002 and assumed his current position.

He will receive the prestigious Silver Medal Award from the Nebraska Radiological Society (NRS) at a Jan. 30 dinner at the Happy Hollow Club.
The Silver Medal Award is the highest recognition given by the NRS.
