NUFlex reenrollment starts today, ends Dec. 4

FireFly help Employees will need to log onto Firefly to reenroll for NUFlex. Those who need help with their Firefly usernames and passwords should contact Brock Steinbrink at 559-5880 or bsteinbrink@unmc.edu.

The 2010 NUFlex enrollment period starts today and ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4.

This year, NUFlex enrollment is only offered online through the Firefly Employee Self Service. No paper enrollment forms will be accepted for reenrollment.

If no changes are made online by 5 p.m. on Dec. 4, employees will:

• Keep their current benefits;
  
• Not be enrolled in the Reimbursement Accounts in 2010; and
  
• Be designated as a tobacco/nicotine user for life insurance premiums.

There is no exception to this policy.

Tutorial and questions View tutorial videos that will help you reenroll for your NUFlex benefits online. One video is titled “Watch How It’s Done” and shows step-by-step how to enroll into benefits through Firefly. A “Give It A Try” video is an interactive video that lets employees proceed at their own pace by clicking through the process. Please note that the dates and insurance rates mentioned in the videos are last year’s dates/rate and do not apply to this year. The process detailed in the videos, however, is basically still the same.

The following informational meetings about NUFlex and the Health Risk Assessment will be held on campus:

• Thursday, Nov. 19 — 2 p.m., Wittson Hall, Room 3034;
  
• Monday, Nov. 23 — 9 a.m., Eppley Science Hall, Room 3010;
  
• Tuesday, Nov. 24 — Noon, College of Dentistry (Room to be posted); and
  
• Tuesday, Dec. 1 — Noon, College of Nursing, Room 1010.

The UNMC benefits office will have the following extended hours during the reenrollment period — 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office has a computer set up for employees to use for reenrollment. To make an appointment to use this computer, call 559-4340. Employees must know their Firefly usernames and passwords to use this computer.
