Baha Abdalhamid, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor in the UNMC pathology and microbiology department, is now a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM).
To earn the ABMM credential, Dr. Abdalhamid met rigorous educational and experiential eligibility requirements and passed a comprehensive written examination.
Certification by the ABMM is recognized by federal and state governmental agencies as a significant component toward meeting licensure requirements for high complexity laboratory directors and is recognized under the final rule of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
