Nurse association recognizes three UNMC faculty members

UNMC faculty members took home three of the six Nebraska Nurses Association Awards recently distributed at the organization’s annual awards banquet.

The UNMC recipients were:

Madeleine Leininger, Ph.D., an adjunct professor at the UNMC College of Nursing, who was one of two nurses inducted into the newly established Nebraska Nursing Hall of Fame;
Wendy Wells of the UNMC College of Nursing West Nebraska Division in Scottsbluff, who received the Outstanding Achievement in Nursing Award; and
Missy Ofe Fleck of the UNMC College of Nursing Lincoln Division, who received the Outstanding Nurse Educator Award.
