Spots remain for Hatch Show Print workshop

Spots are still available for employees who want to attend a hands-on workshop about print making and Hatch Show Print on Tuesday.

The workshop, titled “American Letterpress: The Art of Hatch Show Print,” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St., Omaha.

It illustrates the fascinating fusion of art with popular culture and music history featuring the work of one of the nation’s oldest operating printing shops — Hatch Show of Nashville, Tenn.

The workshop portion will be conducted by local printmaking artist, Carol Meis Ellington, a member of the Cooperative Artist Gallery in downtown Omaha.

This workshop is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with valid identification. The partnership also facilitates lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
