Upcoming shows

The following specials for upcoming performances are available for medical center employees:

  • Saturday — 25 percent off tickets to “Pilobolus” at the Orpheum Theater.
  • Friday, Jan. 29 — $10 tickets to “ScrapArtsMusic” at the Holland Center for the Performing Arts, a savings of more than 50 percent.
  • Sunday, Feb. 14 — A pair of tickets for $50 to the 2 or 7:30 p.m. presentations of “Chicago” at the Orpheum — a price that is less than the cost of a single ticket.

UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians have teamed with Omaha Performing Arts to let employees save big and see world-class artists.

The partnership, which was forged through the efforts of the UNMC Wellness Council, allows employees to receive benefits including:

  • Ticket discounts;
  • The best seats;
  • VIP customer service; and
  • The flexibility of single ticket purchases.

Just log-on to www.eventusher.com and use the “UNMCTIX” password to see Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” “Legally Blonde: the Musical,” “ScrapArtsMusic” and more.

The Wellness Council has members from all of the major UNMC units, as well as from The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians. The council promotes employee wellness in the broadest sense.

“I’m very pleased Omaha Performing Arts has partnered with us,” said Kyle Meyer, Ph.D., associate dean of the School of Allied Health Professions and the chairman of the UNMC Wellness Council. “This benefit will allow our employees inside access to some of the most popular shows and entertainers Omaha offers.”
