Currently, more than 20 paintings by Leonard Thiessen (1902-1989) are on display on the third floor between the Paustian amphitheaters.

Thiessen, an Omaha Native, played a significant role in developing the arts in Nebraska.

He was the first art critic for the Omaha World-Herald, helped establish the Nebraska Arts Council and was one of the founders of the Museum of Nebraska Art.

The exhibit will run through June.
