Guy Haven, M.D., Ph.D., left, founder of UNMC’s Regional Pathology Services, died Jan. 20. He was 71.

Guy Haven, M.D., Ph.D., founder of UNMC’s Regional Pathology Services (RPS), died Jan. 20 in Baton Rouge, La. He was 71.

Dr. Haven graduated from the College of Medicine in 1966 and twice served on the UNMC faculty, once serving as medicine’s assistant dean for curriculum.

He founded Regional Pathology Services in 1974.
