Describe your research in laymen’s terms.

The main goal is to develop a new, targeted cell-mediated drug delivery system for therapy of neurodegenerative disorders.

How does your research contribute to science and/or health care?

Successful delivery of therapeutic polypeptides across the blood brain barrier will attenuate neuroinflammation and produce neuroprotection in patients with Parkinson’s disease or Alzheimer disease.
