Lookin’ at U – Diane Feldman

picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”
Each Thursday, we randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Diane Feldman, Learning Resource Center coordinator in the College of Nursing Kearney Division.

Diane Feldman
Here, in her own words, are five fun facts about Diane:

  • I live on a farm north of Kearney with my husband, Gary. Our family includes our sons Mitch and Dan, Mitch’s wife, Cassie and their daughter, Caydence.

  • I am the author of a book, “Wife on the Farm,” which was published in 2003. It is a compilation of articles I wrote when I was a reporter for the Kearney Hub newspaper and details my life as a city girl who marries a farmer.

  • One of the stories from the book was used as the basis of a poem (The Turtle and the Rabbit) written by Cowboy Poet Baxter Black and featured in his book, “Blazin’ Bloats and Cows on Fire!”

  • I am the editor of the College of Nursing monthly newsletter.

  • For the past 10 years, I’ve been a volunteer for the Litchfield Haunted Woods. This is a two-night event in a wooded area outside of Litchfield that provides a spooky guided experience as a fund-raiser for our high school post prom committee.

Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
