More UNO classes offered at UNMC this fall

Two University of Nebraska at Omaha courses will be held on the UNMC campus this Fall for medical center employees who wish to advance their education.

The courses are:

  • SPAN 1120: Spanish I — The five-credit class will be taught by Arturo Miranda on Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 7:10 p.m. Prerequisites are SPAN 1110 or, if students have prior beginning Spanish language experience equivalent to SPAN 1110, they must take placement exam. Contact 554-4800 for more information.
  • SPCH 4550/8556: Nonverbal Communication — The three-credit class will be taught by Dr. Marshall Prisbell on Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m. Prerequisites are SPCH 2010 or 2410, but the instructor can waive this requirement in the UNMC course. Contact mprisbell@unomaha.edu with student ID for permission to waive the requirements.

Full-time, regular employees are reminded that they can take advantage of the Employee Scholarship program, which allows them to take up to 15 credit hours per academic year at any University of Nebraska campus. View more about the scholarship program online.

To register for any UNO class, you must be enrolled as a student at UNO. To enroll, fill out an application and be accepted as a student by going to UNO’s website and clicking on the Prospective Student tab.

Once admitted, you will be given an E-BRUNO account. This is where you will register for classes.

If you have any questions regarding registration and enrollment, contact UNO Off-Campus Programs at 402-595-2371 or unooffutt@unomaha.edu.
