Environmental hazards is tonight’s Science Cafe

Did you know your carpet could be causing your allergies? Is it better to use anti-bacterial soap? How far does spit travel?

Shawn Gibbs, Ph.D., will answer those questions and more at tonight’s Science Cafe at the Slowdown in Omaha, 729 N. 14th St.

Dr. Gibbs, a certified industrial hygienist and associate professor with UNMC’s Department of Environmental, Agricultural & Occupational Health in the College of Public Health, will discuss “Environmental Hazards” beginning at 7 p.m.

Free pizza, provided by the Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures, will be available for the first 50 people in attendance.
