picture disc.Quick, think of five things others should know about you.

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.”

Each Thursday, we randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Hugh Stoddard, Ph.D., assistant dean for medical education in the College of Medicine.

Here, in his own words, are five fun facts about Dr. Stoddard:

  • My favorite job that I had before coming to UNMC was teaching wood shop.

  • I graduated from high school in India.

  • I have two sons, ages 16 and 12, who are very much like me — much to my wife’s chagrin.

  • My great, great, great grandfather moved to Nebraska in a covered wagon.

  • In college, I started out as a music major, until I realized how much they expected me to practice.

Read UNMC Today next Thursday to see who is featured in the next Lookin’ at U article. Who knows — it could be U.
