Vote and help Turner Park clinic win grant

UNMC Physicians’ Turner Park clinic has applied for a rather unusual grant — one that is decided by votes.

If the clinic wins the grant, the money will be used to expand diabetes education classes, host a health fair and most importantly, assist patients who encounter financial hardships with rent, prescriptions, utility costs and transportation.

To vote, visit www.refresheverything.com and select the health category for $50,000.

The UNMC Physicians project is headlined “Improve the health of inner city adults thru education & health care.”

You can vote once per day throughout August.

What is the title and number of the grant. Can't seem to find it in the rather lengthy list. Thanks.

The website tries to make you look through all choices. You have to narrow down your search by selecting the red health category at the top, then choose the $50,000 bracket, then pick near you (if you are in Omaha) and it comes up with a button to click and vote for it.

I can't find the UNMC project today, 8/19/10. Has it been dropped from the list? This is my first attempt, been out of town.
