Forensic dentistry the topic of Tuesday Science Cafe

During Tuesday’s Omaha Science Cafe, UNMC Dentist and researcher James Jenkins, D.D.S., will discuss how forensic dentists identify the deceased using dental records.

When: 7 p.m.

Where: The Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St.

What: Attendees will learn past and present forensic techniques and tools, as well as watch Dr. Jenkins make an identification using dental records.

Why: Science Cafe is a free educational event sponsored by UNMC and other groups to increase the population’s science literacy. It aims to get young adults interested in science by presenting it in a casual setting.
