Live United 2010 – getting closer

Participation rankings Below are the campus participation rankings by unit as of Wednesday afternoon: Chancellor’s unit – 83 percent Nursing – 69 percent Public Health – 62 percent Allied Health – 61 percent Academic Affairs – 54 percent Research – 45 percent Business/finance – 44 percent ITS – 39 percent Eppley Institute – 26 percent Medicine – 22 percent Pharmacy – 22 percent Munroe-Meyer – 20 percent Dentistry – 5 percent

With two days left in the 2010 UNMC United Way drive, UNMC has raised $137,560, which is 96 percent of our campus donation goal of $143,094.

We also are at 29 percent participation. The campus participation goal is 100 percent.

“We’re getting very close to reaching our donation goal and if year’s past are any indication, I’m confident we’ll see a surge in participation and donations in the last two days,” said Kacie Gerard, manager of the UNMC’s United Way drive.”If everyone left who has not participated donated $2, we would exceed our goal by at least $1,000.”

Participate in the drive by Friday afternoon to be eligible for the final United Way Prize drawing.

The drawing will be held Friday at 5 p.m. and features prizes including tickets to the Nov. 13 Husker game.
