HIV/AIDS the focus of Tuesday’s Science Cafe

The latest treatment and research in HIV and AIDS will be discussed at Tuesday’s Omaha Science Cafe at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St.

Susan Swindells, M.B.B.S., medical director of the HIV Clinic at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, will speak from 7 to 8 p.m.

Dr. Swindells, the Terry K. Watanabe Professor of Internal Medicine in the UNMC section of infectious diseases, has been involved in HIV care since 1988.

Science Cafe is a free educational event sponsored by UNMC and other groups to increase the population’s science literacy.
