Lookin’ at U – Jennifer Pace

That’s the theme behind a series in UNMC Today called “Lookin’ at U.” Each Thursday, we will randomly select a medical center employee to feature.

This week, we feature Jennifer Pace, office associate in the department of biochemistry and molecular biology.

Here, in her own words, are some fun facts about Jennifer:

• I have been married for 23 years to my husband, Andrew, and we have a 14-year-old daughter, Natalie. We also have two cats, Annie and Barney.

• After more than 20 years, I am going back to school at the University of Nebraska at Omaha to receive my Bachelor’s degree with my concentration being in library science.

• I have a passion for rock and roll music, even though I don’t sing or play an instrument. I just love listening! Some of my favorites are the Beatles, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin – pretty much most mainstream rock.

• I also love reading all sorts of books — fiction, biographies, cultural history. I have a passion for learning new things and books help to satisfy that passion.

• I am not a native of Nebraska, but moved here three years ago from Minneapolis when my husband’s job with ConAgra was transferred. My family lives all over the country – New Mexico, Florida and Minnesota. We are planning to have everyone here in Omaha for Thanksgiving!
