All members of the UNMC community are invited to a special campus event on Tuesday (Jan. 18) to honor the City of Omaha and its leaders for their support of the medical center’s growth and progress.
When: 4 p.m.
Where: Sorrell Center Events Center foyer
Who: The event will feature comments from UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., and will be attended by Mayor Jim Suttle and other city leaders.
Why: The event is a chance to thank Suttle, the city council and other city leaders for their efforts on behalf of the medical center. Suttle and the city council recently supported the closing of 40th Street on the medical center campus to make room for expansion, and the city has been strong partner in the exploration of the feasibility of moving Saddle Creek Road to the west.
