What is your best memory from your time at UNMC?

I was enthusiastically offered a cinnamon roll and hot coffee at 7:30 a.m. on a cold morning during the recent Spirit Week. The UNMC spirit was contagious during Spirit Week and the entire effort made me feel proud to be a part of the medical center.

Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.

Anytime I have the opportunity to talk with our alumni about supporting UNMC I see their leadership and commitment to excellence shine through. The university has a dedicated group of alumni who care deeply about UNMC and stay engaged with what is happening on campus. Our alumni embody UNMC’s brand values and exemplify these values in their careers.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I have lived in Omaha for nearly six years. When I first moved here, I felt so welcomed and I fell in love with the city. Now, I live with my husband Heath and our dog Mabel in south Omaha.
  • I went to the University of Iowa so I am a Hawkeye at heart, but I’m also a Husker fan! I can’t wait until Nebraska and Iowa compete against each other in sporting events. It will be an intense (but friendly) rivalry in my household and with my friends.
  • I enjoy reading about history, current events, politics and foreign affairs, so don’t be surprised to catch me at a coffee shop reading “Governing” or “TIME” magazines.
