UNMC employees are invited to a campus lecture today to get a truly fresh look at the nation’s 16th president, Abraham Lincoln.
When: Noon
Where: Sorrell Center, Room 2018. Employees are invited to bring lunch.
Who: Dr. Allen Guelzo, Henry R. Luce Professor of the Civil War Era and a professor of history at Gettysburg College, will show how Lincoln was a man of ideas, deep intellectual curiosity and a textbook Victorian “doubter.”
Partnership information: The lecture is sponsored by the Durham Museum and is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with valid identification badges, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
