Faculty and staff to receive summary of annual compensation

Each benefits eligible UNMC faculty and staff member will soon receive a report that summarizes his or her pay and benefits for 2010.

The individualized “Annual Statement of Earnings and Benefits,” which will be delivered in a pressure sealed envelope is intended to help employees understand their total compensation package.

A greener way

Did you know you can choose not to have a printed statements of your Annual Statement of Earning sent to you?

To do so:

“This report is a great way to improve employees’ understanding of how their benefits combine with their regular compensation to make their total compensation package,” said John Russell, assistant vice chancellor for human resources.

Each employee’s report will include his or her annual pay for 2010, and annual university and employee contributions toward each benefit in which the employee was enrolled in 2010.

Employer and employee retirement contributions made in 2010 also are displayed on the report.

“Our faculty and staff have found this report to be informative and useful,” Russell said.

Employees can expect to receive the report in the first calendar quarter each year. In addition, the report will be available through UNMC ESS, which can be found in the Employee Links section or the Annual Statement of Earning and benefits can be found online at https://edge.unmc.edu/ess/secure/index.php.

Questions about the report should be directed to Mary Jane Zeini at 402-559-5875.
