Several UNMC College of Dentistry faculty will take on new roles in light of the retirements of Curt Kuster, D.D.S., and Dennis Kent, D.D.S., in July.
- Merlyn Vogt, D.D.S., will serve as assistant dean for student affairs and director of admissions, following Dr. Kuster’s retirement.
- David Blaha, D.D.S., will become the new director of alumni affairs, a position which Dr. Vogt currently holds.
- Jim Jenkins, D.D.S., has been named assistant dean for advanced clinical practice and will oversee the faculty practice upon the retirement of Dr. Kent.
- Joan Sivers, D.D.S., will serve as the interim chairwoman of the department of growth and development, a position which Dr. Kuster held during the past year.
