Almost 40 faculty members who have served 10, 20 or 30 years at UNMC will be recognized at the Annual Faculty Meeting on Monday, March 31, at 4 p.m. in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater. More than 40 faculty who have served five years will receive a certificate via mail and will be recognized in the annual meeting program. A reception, hosted by UNMC Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D., will follow the meeting at approximately 5 p.m. in the private dining rooms.
Lynne Farr, Ph.D., professor in the College of Nursing and president of the Faculty Senate, will report on Senate activities during the past year. Chancellor Maurer will address the faculty. His presentation is titled “Build Up to a New Tomorrow: Looking Around the Corner.” UNMC’s Outstanding Teaching Awards will be presented to Keith Allen, Ph.D., S. James Booth, Ph.D., and James Turpen, Ph.D.
