Audix passwords must be changed May 5

Beginning Monday, May 5, at 9 a.m. all Audix passwords must be changed. New passwords, which must be a minimum of seven-digits, will expire every 180 days. The change will affect all Audix users at UNMC/NHS and Clarkson West Medical Center.

Upon login Audix users will hear the usual “Name” announcement, then Audix will say, “Your password has expired. Please enter a new password followed by the # sign.” If the password entered is too short Audix will respond: “Passwords must now be seven-digits. Please enter a new password of seven or more digits.” When a new password is entered Audix will respond with “Re-enter password, followed by the # sign.” When the password is successfully entered again Audix will say, “Changed” and present the main mailbox menu.

Telecom staff will man a special Help Line 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist customers who are locked out of their mailbox. The Help Line (559-7878) will be manned May 5 through May 7.

The password change is being implemented to better protect employees’ confidential information and ensure the integrity of the system. Call Frank Plummer at 559-3997 with questions.
