The Norfolk division of the UNMC College of Nursing is located on the Northeast Community College campus. The J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing opened in August 2010 and offers undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Lots to offer
Nestled in the heart of Northeast Nebraska, Norfolk offers everything you would expect: first class recreation, community festivals, award-winning attractions, unique shopping, progressive community life, and, of course, UNMC College of Nursing’s Northern Division.
Ashfall Fossil Beds
Need a break from human anatomy? Come take a look at the often nearly-intact skeletons of prehistoric rhinos, camels, horses and saber-tooth deer who roamed Nebraska almost 12 million years ago.
Canoe on the Elkhorn River, golf on a handful of beautiful area courses, camp at our recreation areas, hit the bike trails or hunt on public grounds.
The Norfolk Arts Center boasts touring creative offerings and community programs. The Elkhorn Valley Museum features pioneer history and hometown hero Johnny Carson’s legacy. And downtown is a hotbed for antiques.
