The Cognition & Curriculum SIG fosters innovation and evidence-based practice by supporting faculty in designing purposeful, effective instruction. Informed by instructional design and learning theory, we create meaningful learning experiences across online, in-person, and hybrid settings. Members collaborate to explore, use and strategize on topics such as:

  • Instructional design
  • Instructional technologies
  • Science of learning
  • Curricular design and development
  • Assessment of student learning
  • Course and program evaluation

Whether you're passionate about curriculum, fascinated by how the brain learns or eager to implement new instructional strategies, this group offers a space to explore, share and grow together.
