Simulation

Students in simulation lab

Join us in discovering new ideas and opportunities to advance simulation in health sciences education.

The Simulation group provides a platform for members to share their interest in and experience with simulation and its use in education. We offer a network for simulation ideas and issues, support when adding simulation to curricula, and expert insight on simulation technology.

Members of the group may collaborate in various areas based on interest. Potential topics include:

Examining and evaluating simulation activities and modalities
Incorporating simulation into curricula
Developing a simulation network and resources for staff/faculty

Clinical Simulation

Rooms and equipment located on Level 2 of the Davis Global Center that offers a risk-free training environment for learners to practice and hone skills

Sorrell Clinical Simulation Lab

Lab that offers an interdisciplinary environment to practice on manikins, task trainers or standardized patients who role-play realistic medical conditions

Surgical Skills Simulation

Labs located on Level 3 of the Davis Global Center that allow attendees to become familiar with surgical equipment and practice various new procedures

Learning Resource Center

A multimedia learning environment located on all five College of Nursing campuses where students gain knowledge and practice skills

iEXCEL

UNMC program that improves human performance through high-fidelity simulation, interprofessional collaboration and experiential learning
