The only prerequisite for the program is prior coursework in statistics. Courses are taught by top faculty at the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). To accommodate for your already busy schedule, classes take place in the evening.

UNMC may provide assistance with tuition if the courses are listed on your initial Program of Studies and you submit the Approval Form for Graduate Assistant Participation in Proficiency or Certificate Programs at least three months before the application deadline for the certificate program.

  • All applicants must be current UNMC PhD students.
  • All applicants must have earned a minimum undergraduate junior/senior GPA of 2.85.
  • English Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to have a command of oral and written English. Those who do not hold a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from the U.S., OR a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from a pre-determined country on the waiver list, must meet the minimum language proficiency score requirement in order to be considered for admission.
