Remember live presentations? The "Power Presentations" workshop will get faculty ready for them again.

The UNMC Office of Faculty Development is offering a three-part presentation skills workshop called "Power Presentations" to help faculty prepare for the re-opening of live conferences and meetings.

Many people's live communication skills are rusty after the past two years. The live workshop will provide faculty with real-time coaching and feedback from a group of UNMC faculty experts in a fun and highly interactive format.

It is ideal for any faculty member looking to design better presentations, manage anxiety or learn engagement tips for more effective delivery.

The workshop takes place Feb. 7, 14 and 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. on the Omaha campus. Due to the highly interactive nature of this workshop, it is only offered in person, and participants must attend all three sessions.

More information about this workshop is available. To register, please fill out this short questionnaire. Registration is capped at 30 individuals.

Also in February, faculty development will host the workshop "Cultivating a Coaching Culture," which will help faculty expand coaching skills in a focused, immersive format.

The hybrid-style workshop starts with an in-person boot camp followed by three topic-driven practicum sessions held via Zoom.

To fit multiple schedules, the bootcamp is offered on two dates – Feb. 3 and 4 – and faculty may choose which date to attend. The follow-up Zoom sessions, held Feb. 11, 25 and March 11, will help participants refine coaching skills and practice application. Additional information about this coaching course, including times and registration, is available at go.unmc.edu/coaching.
