UNMC and Nebraska Medicine information security is asking smart phone users to consider enrolling or re-enrolling in the Duo App to receive Duo push notifications.
Duo SMS text messages and phones calls have an ongoing cost per text or call. But Duo pushes to the mobile app are free.
The med center has seen an uptick in text message and phone call usage, costing more than planned this fiscal year.
Colleagues with a smart phone can download Duo Mobile from the Hub or download the mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
