The University of Nebraska system is transitioning away from eSHOP and moving to SAP Ariba, as part of a strategic initiative to improve end-to-end purchasing and invoicing processes.
Why it matters: eSHOP will be phased out by April 2024, and Procure to Pay (P2P) is moving to SAP Ariba for processing catalog orders, requisitions, sourcing requests, contracts, invoicing, and special forms (PCard requests, exception forms, reverse goods receipt forms, etc).
Are you an eSHOP user?
Anyone who currently uses eSHOP to order supplies, equipment, etc,
will need to complete required training before you can use SAP Ariba.
What’s next: Complete the required SAP Ariba course and training sessions before the end of October. These are accessible by logging into Bridge: Training for SAP Ariba
- Log into Bridge with your full email address and password (same one used for accessing Firefly, TrueYou, etc)
- Complete the “Navigation and User Setup” course first
- Enroll in training sessions for “SAP Ariba Guided Buying & Special Forms” and “SAP Ariba Sourcing & Contracts Requests”
The big picture: Prepare in advance by completing SAP Ariba user setup and all training requirements, otherwise you will not be able to place orders, submit contract requests, etc, when the transition occurs.
- SAP Ariba resources are available on the procurement website, including guides, quick start videos, and more.
- Suppliers continue to be added to SAP Ariba daily. If you order from unique suppliers/vendors, be sure to check that they are available within the new system.

- Sourcing/Contract Request: 10/23 at 11:00 AM, Tue 10/24 at 9:30 AM, Wed 10/25 at 11:00 AM, or Thur 10/26 at 3:00 PM

- Guided Buying/Special Forms: Fri 10/20 at 11:00 AM, Mon 10/23 at 1:00 PM, Tue 10/24 at 9:00 AM, or Tue 10/31 at 10:00 AM
- Sourcing Request & Contract Request: Wed 10/25 at 1:00 PM, Thur 10/26 at 9:00 AM, or Mon 10/30 at 10:00 AM
