A public website for the UNMC Department of Business and Finance now is available and includes a range of information about its services and functions.
“This makes the important work we do more available to our colleagues and our external partners,” said Anne Barnes, vice chancellor for business, finance and business development. She also serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer of the University of Nebraska. “We saw a need to place business and finance information in one central location and to give visibility to staff and units that weren’t previously represented on UNMC’s public website.”
Content of several now-unpublished websites has been moved to the new site. Those areas and their new links:
- Emergency management.
- Police and public safety.
- Facilities management and planning.
- Printing services.
- Office of sustainability and LiveGreen Ambassadors.
The new site also provides information about business and finance areas that previously had no public web presence, including department leadership, budget and fiscal analysis and business development.
A page titled employee resources contains quick links to related information through the University of Nebraska and the UNMC intranet.
Internal information will remain on UNMC’s intranet, primarily under Management. The intranet business and finance services site eventually will be removed, with content moving to other parts of the intranet.
Several business and finance units will continue to have separate websites: Human resources, environmental health and safety, Healing Arts and Title IX.
Great idea. I’ve also thought that the UNMC forums would be nice to have available to alumni or the public.
