Joslyn Museum to host a free member’s opening event

Enjoy Joslyn’s new exhibit, “Renoir to Chagall: Paris and the Allure of Color,” before anyone else at a private members event on June 8.

UNMC employees are invited to preview this vibrant exhibition from the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, Memphis. It traces the most significant developments in French painting that shaped the direction of modern art for more than a century.

“Renoir to Chagall” presents the scenes – from ballet to the boulevard – that made Paris a magnet for 19th- and 20th-century masters, among them Cezanne, Chagall, Degas, Gauguin, Matisse, Monet, Pissaro, Renoir and Toulouse-Lautrec.

During the preview the museum gift shop will be open for gift purchases. UNMC employees receive a member discount at the shop.

Please RSVP here or by calling 402-661-3850 by June 3 if you are able to attend. Also, please state whether you are an employee of UNMC or The Nebraska Medical Center when making the reservation.

The event is offered through the Passport Partners program, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students, and their immediate family with a valid identification badge, while also offering lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
