Area nature organizations are offering discounted membership opportunities to UNMC employees as summer nears.

Lauritzen Gardens
Today is the final day for UNMC employees, faculty and staff to receive a $10 discount for membership at the gardens.

Renew or purchase a new membership to Lauritzen Gardens

Membership to Lauritzen Gardens includes:

  • Free admission year-round to a 100-acre site that includes 13 different garden areas, plus free or discounted admission to the indoor seasonal floral displays, annual festivals and most special events;
  • A 10 percent discount on regularly priced items in the gift shop;
  • Discounts to exciting educational workshops, classes and programs for both children and adults;
  • Invitations to exclusive preview parties, seasonal floral shows and other special events; and
  • A quarterly subscription to Lauritzen Gardens’ newsletter that provides advance notice of numerous activities and events.

Fontenelle Forest
Employees and students of UNMC receive reduced pricing on select membership levels at Fontenelle Forest from June 1 through June 30.

Prices:

  • Individual $30 (a saving of $5): Admits one adult for an entire year;
  • Two Individuals $40 (a saving of $5): Admits two adults living in the same household for an entire year; and
  • Household $50 (a saving of $5): Admits two adults living in the same household and grandchildren or dependent children under 18 for an entire year

Membership is tax-deductible.
