Beginning this week and continuing till November, the sidewalks around Parking Lot No. 4, on 42nd Street, Emile Street and 41st Street, will be closed to pedestrian traffic as preparations begin for the demolition of the parking structure.
There will be heavy equipment and trucks on site as the concrete structure is demolished. Because the structure is so close to the streets it is necessary to close all sidewalks around the site.
Vehicular traffic should not be affected during the demolition.
Staff and students should take special precautions to avoid the area around the construction site and while crossing streets from the parking lots on the south side of the campus.
