Research user group offering help with scientific posters

If researchers, students or other members of the UNMC community have a meeting or conference to attend requiring a scientific poster, the Research User Group (RUG) can help.

RUG members are showing how to create scientific posters in presentations throughout October. The following sessions are offered:

  • Adobe Illustrator Basics, 10 to 11:30 a.m. today, Room 8011 in Wittson Hall.
  • PowerPoint Basics, 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Room 8011 in Wittson.
  • Create Posters Using PowerPoint, 2 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 9, Room 2020 in Bennett Hall. (This session will be recorded and available from the ITS handouts and recordings website.)
  • Create Posters Using Adobe Illustrator, 2 to 3 p.m., Oct. 10, Room 8011 in Wittson Hall.

RUG strongly recommends attendees have a basic knowledge of PowerPoint or Illustrator prior to attending the poster sessions.

Register for these sessions at E-Serv and click on Education > My Registrations or by email.

ITS also offers drop-in help sessions (1 to 2 p.m. on Oct. 8 and 15), which are listed on the UNMC Campus Calendar and ITS Training link. No registration is required for drop-in sessions.
