I am the associate director of networking and technical services in the Information Technology Services Department. I manage multiple teams in ITS. One team is responsible for managing and designing the network infrastructure for the campus. Another team administers the enterprise servers and storage for UNMC. The third team is responsible for the messaging solutions for the campus. This includes email, instant messaging and the new Microsoft cloud solutions. I have worked on computer systems for UNMC from the big mainframes in the 1980s to today’s newest tablets.

Commitment to excellence is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed commitment to excellence at UNMC.
I work with great teams that are very knowledgeable and are dedicated to making the technology reliable for faculty, staff and students. I witnessed a great team effort converting the campus from Notes email system to Exchange as well as the ongoing expansion of our wireless network that has enabled our campus to be more mobile.

What is your favorite winter activity?

Hallo Harry! Angenehm bestimmt Ihn zu kennen lernen. I am not a native German; however, my mother was born there. It's nice to hear of other "Kinsmen" that are here at the UNMC. Thank you for sharing.
