Lisa Moravec
Lisa Moravec, coordinator for the UNMC College of Dentistry dental hygiene program in Gering, was recently elected to a national position in the American Dental Hygiene Association. She is now a member
of the Board of Trustees and will be serving a two-year term. Moravec will be responsible for carrying out the positions, policies
and procedures of the national organization of dental hygienists.

Bethany DeCarolis has been named assistant director of Sponsored Programs Administration. DeCarolis has been a member of the Sponsored Program Administration team for nine years, developing an extensive level of expertise on the pre- and post-award process. Prior to joining UNMC, DeCarolis served as a director at the federally funded National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in Washington, D.C. As a function of her role, DeCarolis now is authorized to serve as an institutional signatory on grants and contracts.

The American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) has awarded its Mastership designation to Karen Honeycutt, associate professor and director of the clinical laboratory science program in the School of Allied Health Professions. The designation “recognizes exceptional members who have made significant contributions, not only to the field of pathology and laboratory medicine but also to ASCP,” the organization said.
