The University of Nebraska Medical Center Recruitment and Student Engagement, held its second annual Health Care Career Day.
The event introduces students with an interest in health care careers to the multitude of professions available in the health sciences.
A total of 305 participants from 36 towns and 37 rural schools learned about opportunities in behavioral health, biomedical sciences/graduate studies, clinical perfusion, cytotechnology, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, clinical laboratory science, public health, medical nutrition, and radiation sciences. The students attended three 30-minute interactive sessions of their choosing with various health professionals.
