You don’t have to walk far on campus to spot lab coats that look different.
That will start to change with the debut of a uniform look for lab coats.
Moving forward, whether you work for Nebraska Medicine or UNMC, when it’s time to order a new lab coat, the jacket will feature the red emblem embroidered on the right side. On the left side, your name, credentials and department/specialty.
The new emblem represents skilled leadership in health care, along with a thriving research community and a courageous medical university. Sharing the single emblem helps clarify UNMC’s relationship with Nebraska Medicine. It’s a visual identity strategy that signifies our close relationship.
Lab coats are now offered through the UNMC Bookstore. They can process your order through payroll deduction or credit card and will send your lab coat to you in campus mail. To order your lab coat, you can complete an online form. To do so, you have to log in using your computer log in information. Under “Bookstore,” click “Lab coat embroidery request” to complete the online form.
You can also complete this paper order form and send it to the UNMC Bookstore at campus zip 7025, scan and email it to unmcbookstore@unmc.edu or stop by the bookstore, located on the second floor of the Student Life Center.
