  • “It Was All A Dream,” by Biggie Smalls

What sparked your interest in radiation science technology?
I wanted the main focus of my career to be working with people in a meaningful way. However, being born in an electronically savvy generation, I’ve found technology an intriguing subject as it is constantly evolving. The field of radiation sciences is a union of the two, and I’m excited to use this education in my future endeavors within the health care field.

Three things people may not know about you:

  • I had a pet duck named “Goose” in my childhood.
  • I hope to travel to as many different countries as possible during my lifetime while trying as many foods and activities unique to those areas.
  • During high school I worked at Amigos roughly three times a week for three years. I also ate Amigos every time I worked, so if you do the math that’s burrito bliss.

In addition to her schooling, Sidney is also an active member of our UNMC Student Senate. It's been wonderful working with Sidney this past year! Her high energy and love for working with people is always apparent. She's been a great member of our team and a true asset representing the students in allied health!
