The Community Service to Research Award recognizes a community member who has a demonstrated record of service to UNMC research. The Vice Chancellor for Research office is accepting nominations from UNMC faculty members for this award. Nominations are due by close of business on Dec. 21 and can be downloaded here.

Community members serve an essential role in many aspects of UNMC research from translating research into the community, reviewing research protocols for relevance to the community, helping to develop new resources, and providing key insights on health problems so that they can be better studied or study results can be interpreted. Individuals who have been helpful to UNMC research efforts in any of these roles or other roles or other roles are eligible for nomination. The award will be presented at the Distinguished Scientist Ceremony in 2015.
