Neuroscience research symposium set for tomorrow

To highlight a new partnership between UNMC and Purdue Pharmaceuticals, UNMC will host a half-day symposium to showcase the range of UNMC’s portfolio of neuroscience, pain, drug discovery and drug delivery research.

Seven UNMC researchers will present their projects during the Neuroscience Research Symposium “From Pain to Parkinson’s Disease.”

The event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 31 and begins at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks from UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., Vice Chancellor for Research Jennifer Larsen, M.D., Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dele Davies, M.D., College of Pharmacy Dean Courtney Fletcher, Pharm.D., and representatives from Purdue Pharmaceuticals.

All sessions will be held in the Sorrell Center, Room 1005. All UNMC faculty and students are invited; no preregistration is required. Sessions will be recorded for those who may not be able to attend. Read more on the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research website or download the program here.
