The Thyroid and Endocrine Multidisciplinary Clinic at Nebraska Medicine (TEMDC) is a new multi-service clinic for patients with thyroid cancer and other endocrine tumors. This clinic allows patients to be seen by both endocrinology and surgery the same day if necessary. There are two locations for the new clinic – on the main campus (to be located in the new Buffet Cancer Center) and at the Village Pointe Cancer Center.
"We have multiple clinics per week that have both endocrine and surgery present. We also have ultrasound machines on site if the patients need in-office ultrasounds or biopsies. That can be done the same day as their clinic visit," Dr. Goldner said. "This helps facilitate continuity of care for patients and all of their providers, and, also, promotes a collaborative approach to the treatment of thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, parathyroid disorders and other endocrine tumors."
