College of Public Health reaccredited

Ali S. Khan, M.D., M.P.H., dean of the UNMC College of Public Health, announced that the college was reaccredited by the Board of the Council on Education for Public Health for seven years, the maximum period of renewal.

“This is an important milestone in the success of the college and we should all be proud of this collaborative accomplishment,” he said.

Dr. Khan gave special thanks to Kendra Schmid, Ph.D., interim associate dean for academic and student affairs; Jane Meza, Ph.D., associate vice chancellor and senior associate dean, College of Public Health; Aleta Gaertner, administrator of evaluation and program coordination, and other members of the Self-Study Steering Committee: Stacey Coleman, office associate; Brandon Grimm, Ph.D., director of public health practice; Mo Siahpush, Ph.D., associate dean for research; and Jessica Tschirren, director, student affairs.
