Nominations still are being accepted for the UNMC Campuswide Impact in Education Awards.

The seven awards, created by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs with strong support from UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., recognize the dedication and ingenuity of UNMC educators. Award categories include innovation, leadership, mentorship, service, interprofessional and research.

Nominations close at 5 p.m. on Sept. 25. The awards ceremony will be held in January.

“After a successful inaugural year, we look forward to seeing new nominations for the Campuswide Impact in Education Awards,” said Dele Davies, M.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs. “The awards give us an opportunity to recognize the world-class faculty at UNMC who help the university reach its goal of leading the world in instructing and mentoring health science students at all levels.”

The honors are:

  • Educator Laureate;
  • Innovative Practices in Education;
  • Visionary Leadership in Education;
  • Inspirational Mentor of Educators;
  • Valor in Educational Service;
  • Interprofessional Education Scholar; and
  • Research in Education Scholar.
